This aircraft was built for Gulf Air in 2012 in Hamburg and painted in Gulf Air colours. It was never delivered into service but instead stored at Lourdes along with A9C-CF, eventually being painted all white and re-registered as F-WXAF. Then in March 2014 the carrier placed 'CE and its sister ship A9C-CF back on the Bahraini register and flew them to Manchester for repainting back into Gulf Air colours.
